After School Literacy Intervention Program
​
The ASLIP will meet 3 times per week for 90 minutes, beginning with a short warm-up activity and followed by instruction and practice in phonemic awareness; alphabet sequencing; visual, auditory, and kinesthetic reviews of previously taught grapheme-phoneme correspondences; new concept introduction; handwriting practice; reading; tracking; spelling; verbal expression; and storybook listening with Q&A for comprehension.

STEM Program
Through our partnership with Drone Cadets, we will provide hands-on drone education to the children we serve, promoting STEM learning and equipping students with real-world skills for future career opportunities.

Community Literacy Program
We work with community partners to create a culture of literacy by equipping each Readers All Scholar with a personalized In-Home Library made filled with culturally responsive books. We host regular Read Aloud Sessions with children’s book author to encourage literacy development at home.

We provide teachers with the Science of Reading-based training, equipping them with evidence-based strategies to enhance literacy instruction and improve student outcomes. This professional development opportunity strengthens educators' skills, ensuring they are prepared to deliver effective, research-backed reading instruction in their classrooms.
Lodestar Program

Through our Lodestar Program, we help children learn to dream, to imagine a future of unlimited possibilities, by hosting them for field trips at the University of Maryland. Previous events Readers All Scholars attended includes the Omicron Delta Kappa Lecture featuring Congressman John Lewis and Maryland Day.
